Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide expert clinical care in a medical telemetry environment. You will assess patients, educate families, maintain records, and administer medications per physician orders.

The role emphasizes strong critical thinking, teamwork, and adherence to AHA BLS and ACLS timelines. Florida RN licensure (or compact) is required, with BSN preferred and acute care experience highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse or equivalent compact license; active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of Telemetry Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
