Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, efficient care in a high-acuity environment. Join a supportive team committed to patient-centered care and continuous learning.

You will assess and plan care for Progressive Care Unit patients, educate patients and families on medications and treatment, maintain complete records, and administer medications per physician orders. Florida RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse license or compact license; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Progressive Care Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
