The role emphasizes pre-operative and post-operative nursing, advocacy for patients, and contributing to exceptional patient experiences, with opportunities to participate in hospital councils and nursing initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required
• ACLS within 6 months of start date
• BLS within 30 days of start date
• NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days
• Trauma Care Certification within 1 year

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, report changes
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by provider
• Document care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
