Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a Progressive Care PCU RN to deliver patient care in a travel assignment based in Beckley, West Virginia. The role involves monitoring telemetry patients, applying clinical judgment, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, efficient progression of care.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, CPR if applicable, and at least 18 years old with one year of nursing experience; PCU experience preferred.

Qualifications

The Progressive Care Unit RN, assumes the responsibility andaccountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive carepatients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to makeclinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking and performance ability in thecoordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursingstandards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care. TheProgressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiacstepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, thePCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferredwith one year progressive care unit experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
