Job summary

Lake Behavioral Hospital in Waukegan, IL is seeking a Program Therapist - Social Services to support patients with bio-psychosocial needs in a dynamic care environment.

This full-time position runs Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, PTO, holidays, and on-site amenities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or clinical-related mental health field required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a psychiatric health care facility with family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual/couples/family counseling with engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with community agencies for patient assessment and services.
• Evaluate and document intervention effectiveness and patient responses.
• Assess psychosocial, educational, and behavioral functioning and document updates.
• Respond to social work service requests promptly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
• Adhere to standards for care of diverse patient populations.
• Utilize interventions in psychiatric emergencies.
