Job summary

Hospital for Behavioral Medicine (HBM) in Worcester, MA, seeks a Program Therapist to deliver social services, crisis intervention, and family/group therapy. The role includes coordinating care, educating patients, and liaising with community providers to ensure seamless support.

A Master’s in Social Work and MA licensure are preferred, with 2+ years of psychiatric experience and CPR/behavior management training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or clinical mental health field.
• Massachusetts state license in social work or clinical mental health preferred (LCSW/LICSW/LMHC).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in psychiatric health care with family/group therapies and crisis intervention.
• CPR certification and aggression management training within 30 days of employment; competency exam on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples and family counseling and educational groups.
• Assess patients, coordinate care and refer to community resources as needed.
• Collaborate with health care team and community agencies; maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
