Job summary

BGCSW in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Year-round Youth Development Professional – Program Support for the Burton Elementary Club. This part-time role involves assisting with activities in Education, Tech, Art, Gym, and Games, and promoting positive behavior and safe environments.

Essential Functions

• Support planning and implementation of activities for youth in program areas (Education, Tech, Art, Gym, Games).
• Provide behavioral guidance using conflict resolution techniques, restorative practices, and problem‑solving.
• Provide guidance, affirm positive behavior, and act as a role model for youth.
• Create and maintain a safe environment through active supervision, setting clear expectations, and ensuring clean program areas.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must pass a national criminal background check, a Social Security verification, a local criminal background check, and a national sex offender registry check.
• Prior experience working with youth is preferred.
• This role requires physical activity, including standing, moving, and bending.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM during the school year; Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM during the summer. The position averages 15 hours per week.

Compensation & Benefits

• $17.75 – $19.00 hourly, DOE
• Paid time off accrual and 12 paid holidays per year, including one floating holiday.
