Job summary

Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. is seeking a Program Supervisor for the Torrington area. The role entails supervising direct care staff, scheduling coverage, and ensuring recovery-oriented services within a residential program serving women with trauma histories.

Requirements include a relevant degree and experience in supervision; strong familiarity with state service systems and MS Office. Some travel and on-call availability are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or Associate Degree plus three years of experience required.
• Familiarity with Connecticut state human service systems and related treatment requirements.
• Proficiency in Office 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Experience supervising staff in a residential program with trauma histories and long-term psychiatric hospitalizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all direct care staff to provide quality, recovery-oriented services across shifts.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage; may carry a caseload.
• Ensure participants engage in recovery through Evidence Based Practices and IRPs with goals for ADL skills.
• Assist with staff recruitment, conduct interviews, and participate in selection.
• Organize and facilitate activities or groups; supervise staff performance and provide reviews.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences; approve time off, time cards, and program expenses.
• Represent MHC mission and maintain relationships with funders and outside agencies.
• Be on call for emergencies; monitor staff training and crisis intervention methods.
• Lead in the absence of Program Manager/Director; travel as needed and drive locally.
