Job summary

Devereux is hiring a Program Supervisor to impact the lives of children and youth by developing independent living and social skills in a therapeutic residential setting. The role involves supervising staff, planning services, and ensuring a safe, client-centered environment.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s with human services credits and direct care experience or 60 credits with higher direct care experience, plus at least one year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 human services credits and 2 years direct care experience; OR 60 credits with 12 human services and 3 years direct care experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to perform walking, standing, lifting up to 75–100 lbs, and Safe and Positive Approaches (SPA) mastery.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clients are safe and in a therapeutic treatment environment.
  • Plan and implement residential program services for assigned clients.
  • Assist in supervising clients in program activities and leisure time.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to staff.

Program Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Ensure the individuals you are working with are safe and in a therapeutic treatment environment.
  • Plan and implement residential program services for assigned clients.
  • Assist in providing supervision of clients in program activities and leisure time.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to staff.

  • Rate $25.00 to $28.50 per hour.
  • Shift differential of $2 per hour for second shift only.
  • Available shifts: 7am – 3:30pm and 3pm – 11:30pm.
  • Off one day throughout the week and every other Saturday and Sunday.
  • 1‑week orientation, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm in West Chester.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (e.g., psychology, sociology, social work, etc.) and a minimum of two years direct care experience; OR 60 college credits with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline and three years direct care experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance related to applying physical intervention techniques – upwards of 75–100 lbs. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques.
