Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT, software testing, PLM systems, and/or participation in design and engineering processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Digital Enterprise Test Quality Team to improve software and process testing quality for Digital Enterprise functionality.
• Engage in new functionality testing and improvements to the regression test suite.
• Coordinate between Information Technology, project customers, and the review team to develop monitoring practices and ensure corrective actions are implemented in tests.

The Digital Enterprise Test Quality Team improves our software and process testing quality for Digital Enterprise functionality, including new functionality testing and improvement of our regression test suite. This group consists of approximately 4 engineers and program representatives who improve our test quality over time. This requires coordination between Information Technology, project customers, and this review team in order to develop monitoring practices (surveillances, reviews, etc.), execute them regularly, and ensure corrective actions are implemented in our tests.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to comprehend software test strategies, view tests relative to the related procedures, and have an understanding of how tests fit in context to the end to end processes at Electric Boat. Detailed orientation, strong organizational skills, and consensus building between groups of differing perspectives will all be required.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in IT, software testing, PLM systems, and/or participation in design and engineering processes
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science
• Broad understanding of Digital Enterprise/IPDE processes.
• Experience developing software/process tests.

Skills

• Test Scripts routinely utilize Zephyr, and Jira for tracking and test functions within Teamcenter, NX, and MRPII.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required, including extensive use of Excel for test metrics.
