Job summary

Childrens Home Society of Florida is seeking a Program Supervisor to manage daily program operations and supervise direct service and support staff. You will coordinate service delivery to meet client needs, program goals, and contract objectives while upholding CHS values and delivering high-quality behavioral health, case management, and family support services.

In this role you will supervise team meetings, monitor caseloads, participate in quality assurance, and support grant activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field required; Master’s preferred.
• OR two years college or AA/AS degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field plus three years of experience with families and Healthy Families.
• OR Child Development Associate Credential plus four years experience with families and Healthy Families.
• Florida Driver’s License within 30 days of hire and daily access to a reliable vehicle.

The Program Supervisor will manage the daily operations of a program and supervise direct service and support team members; coordinate service delivery so that client needs, program goals and contract objectives are effectively met. 1. Supervise program team members including regular individual and group team members meetings and case consultation; oversee proper client to team members’ ratio.

• Approve admission of clients to program; assign cases to program team members and oversee service delivery.
• Provide support with in-crisis or problem cases; provide on-going assistance to program team members in coordinating services for clients.
• Review and monitor case files for both internal and external quality assurance standards.
• Oversee services provided comply with contractual requirements.
• Liaison to community agencies such as the Department of Children and Families, Department of Juvenile Justice, etc. and attends closure or conference staffing.
• Oversee program team members complete all documentation and reports in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist in grant writing, contract negotiating or re-accreditation preparation.
• Maintain and generate necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Provide direct casework in the absence of program team members.
• Provide BHOS services including group counseling, individual counseling, social skills training and documentation.
• Participate in treatment team meetings.
• Oversee BHOS services are provided as part of the facility's daily programming.
• Participate in four hours per month of supervision by a licensed clinician.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of all BHOS services.
• HMG program only:
• Facilitate at least four HMG Leadership Team meetings annually.
• Liaison between the HMG Program and the Children’s Forum, meeting with staff.
• Develop a system of early childhood community-based programs, services and supports.
• Review HMGA monthly data reports, summary reports, and reports provided by SCO (monthly data snapshot, ROI, quarterly data evaluation, and annual affiliate impact report).
• Create and review a continuous quality improvement plan and recommend changes necessary for program success.

2. Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard T3, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.

• Recruit, supervise and support team members and foster their professional development, including the transfer of knowledge obtained through training.
• Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results.
• Coach, support and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.
• Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.
• Comply and confirm compliance with CHS code of conduct, policies, practices and other legal obligations.
• Implementing policies and practices designed to prevent, recognize and respond to work-related stress.
• Participate in succession planning to build the bench strength necessary for future talent needs.
• Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process.
• Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time
• Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond values in the performance of all job duties.

Job Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in a Human Services related field from an accredited university, required; Master’s preferred OR, two years college or AA/AS degree in Counseling, Social Work, or other Human Services-related field, plus three years of experience working with families and the Healthy Families program OR, Child Development Associate Credential plus four years experience working with families and the Healthy Families program.
• Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire is required, along with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.

Experience:

• Three years experience working with children and families, preferably in the type of program that the Program Supervisor will be overseeing, required.
• Supervisory experience, preferred.
