Job summary

San Diego Workforce Partnership in San Diego County seeks a Program Specialist to develop and manage program services, including WIOA-funded initiatives, aligning with KPIs and improving employment outcomes.

You will collaborate with internal and external partners, oversee enrollments and reporting, provide client-centered career coaching, and support job placement services, with occasional evening/weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or a closely related field.
• Two to four (2-4) years’ direct service nonprofit or government work experience.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data and research trends to support program implementation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support implementation, oversight and management of programmatic services and special initiatives.
• Coordinate and manage workforce development programs with partners and stakeholders.
• Represent fiduciary interests and maintain financial integrity of operations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and relevant issuances.
• Assist in contractual oversight and relationships.
• Provide technical assistance in client-centric career training and placement opportunities.
• Prepare and present program reports, progress summaries and implementation plans.
