U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (WVAMC) seeks a Lease Manager within the Administrative Section of Facilities Management Service at the Wilmington Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The role reports to the Chief of Facilities Management Service and oversees data, reports, and analyses to support space planning and lease decisions.
The position involves coordinating lease status, space redesigns, and operational improvements to enable uninterrupted patient care and facility operations.
Serves as the micro hospital Lease Manager within the Administrative Section of Facilities Management Service at the Wilmington Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WVAMC). This position reports to the Chief, Facilities Management Service (FMS).
The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required. There may be some walking, bending, climbing associated with on-site inspections, involving prolonged standing, standing and some activity on rough and uneven surfaces. Work may also require exposure to hazardous materials or conditions which require the wearing of personal protective equipment. There also may be an occasion to carry items, e.g., files, and boxes containing deliverable supplies. Work is normally accomplished in an office setting with recurring exposure to manufacturing, research, outdoor facilities, and utilities; it involves regular visits to project sites which may involve exposure to extremes heat or cold, high noise, toxic chemicals, eye hazards, and mechanical hazards Incumbent must be capable of traveling by traditional modes of air or land transportation. This position may require overnight travel.
