Job summary

VOALA is hiring a Program Safety Coordinator II to lead safety initiatives across residential and non-residential facilities, including 24/7 shelters and Project Homekey hotels. You will partner with Facilities and Accessibility leadership to ensure compliance with life safety codes and emergency procedures, while training staff on safety and preparedness.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background check.
• TB clearance and health screening within 6 months of hire.
• Annual influenza vaccination and immunizations as required.
• California Class 3 driver license with valid insurance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate safety initiatives for programs.
• Train staff on safety practices and disaster preparedness.
• Lead fire inspections and fire alarm testing and maintenance.
• Monitor safety reports, inspections and procedures.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills and communications.
• Engage with community and emergency personnel for preparedness.
