We are seeking an onsite Program Quality Engineer (PQE) supporting Naval programs in Poulsbo. The PQE will support Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) as well as production or support contracts ensuring that program goals are accomplished while staying compliant with AS9100 requirements. You will collaborate closely with all cross-functional teams including systems, electrical, mechanical, operations, supply chain, and systems integration and test to guarantee that mission goals and contractual requirements have been met. Serve as a member of various program teams, ensuring successful program performance, deliver conforming products/services through effective collaboration and compliance with processes and procedures.
Serve as a program quality liaison across customer organizations (Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and United States Government (USG)), as well as relevant factories and engineering labs as first responder for quality issues and concerns related to products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program management team to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
Support supplier quality and supplier engineering efforts to help ensure compliance with the supplier quality plan.
Lead and perform root cause analysis (RCA), facilitate corrective actions, and implement closed loop process controls to improve product/process predictability and capability.
Generation of new Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned. This includes but is not limited to: Peer reviews, Engineering Review/Change Control Board (ERB/CCB) and or Design reviews.
As a quality interface for customers and suppliers, you'll ensure the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements. This includes coordinating with Program Quality Leads and various functions while overseeing contracts through all program phases.
You’ll develop and monitor quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with integrated teams to enforce process rigor and improve processes.
Supporting transition to production activities as needed, you’ll oversee Quality Control Plan efforts including First Article Inspections and play a key role in Material Review Board, Change Control Board, and Risk Review Board.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
