Job summary

The Kresge Foundation, based in Detroit, seeks a Program Officer for the American Cities Program. The role will implement strategy to strengthen urban communities and manage grants along with collaboration with partners across the country.

The officer will report to the Managing Director and participate in cross-disciplinary work aimed at advancing socioeconomic mobility and reducing inequities in multiple cities.

Responsibilities

• Implement a program strategy to strengthen the social, economic, cultural, and physical fabric of other cities.
• Manage and evaluate a portion of the American Cities portfolio of grants.
• Represent the American Cities team at public forums and collaborate with national and local partners.
• Design and implement grantmaking initiatives and lead select bodies of work.
• Foster cross-city knowledge exchange and support multi-city initiatives.
