Job summary

Ascendium Education Group is seeking two program officers to advance Removing Structural Barriers to Academic Success and Expanding High-Quality Postsecondary Education in Prison. These roles sit in the Education Grantmaking Department and collaborate with a Senior Program Officer to execute strategy.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in grantmaking, excellent written and oral communication, and a readiness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-years of grantmaking experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, evolve and adapt to a fast-paced, continually evolving field and work environment.
• Past experience and knowledge of postsecondary education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advance focus area strategy within the Education Grantmaking Department.
• Collaborate with a Senior Program Officer to implement grantmaking strategies.
• Report to the Deputy Director of Education Grantmaking and coordinate with program teams.
