Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with overall 8+ years of experience and strong Insurance domain expertise of 2+ years and a proven background in enterprise data initiatives. This role will lead the planning, governance, and execution of strategic data programs supporting Insurance Broker, Agency, and Intermediary business models.

The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning business objectives with data platform delivery, driving cross‑functional collaboration, managing program governance, and ensuring the successful execution of complex data initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance operations, data management, stakeholder engagement, and program leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Insurance Domain Leadership
  • Apply deep knowledge of Insurance Broker, Agency, and Intermediary business models to guide data strategy and program execution.
  • Translate insurance business processes, operational requirements, regulatory obligations, and key performance indicators into actionable data initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for improving decision‑making through data‑driven solutions.
  • Ensure data programs align with business priorities and industry requirements.
Strategic Planning & Governance
  • Define and maintain a comprehensive data program roadmap aligned with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, policies, controls, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Align enterprise data architecture, governance frameworks, and program delivery milestones.
  • Support the development of long‑term data strategies and transformation initiatives.
Program Execution & Delivery
  • Lead multiple interdependent data projects within a unified program structure.
  • Oversee the full data lifecycle, including:
  • Data integration
  • Data storage
  • Data transformation
  • Data reporting and analytics
  • Data retention and archival
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality expectations.
  • Coordinate activities across data engineering, analytics, business, architecture, and vendor teams.
  • Monitor program progress, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between executive leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, status reviews, and executive reporting sessions.
  • Communicate program objectives, priorities, risks, dependencies, and outcomes effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive alignment and successful program execution.
Risk, Budget & Resource Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks related to data quality, compliance, delivery schedules, technology dependencies, and budget constraints.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, vendor relationships, and resource allocation activities.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and drive timely resolution of critical program challenges.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources across multiple workstreams.
Performance Monitoring & Value Realization
  • Define and track program‑level KPIs, success metrics, and business outcomes.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor delivery performance and program health.
  • Measure and communicate business value generated by data initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through performance reviews, lessons learned, and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience managing enterprise‑scale data, analytics, or digital transformation programs.
  • Deep understanding of Insurance Broker, Agency, and Intermediary business models and operations.
  • Experience translating business requirements into strategic data initiatives and program roadmaps.
  • Proven experience leading large, complex, cross‑functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data management, data lifecycle processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing data‑related initiatives involving data integration, warehousing, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and vendor relationships.
  • Experience facilitating executive‑level governance, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a focus on business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in insurance data platforms, analytics modernization, or enterprise data transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and governance frameworks, including GDPR and related compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with cloud‑based data platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid program delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with third‑party vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners.
  • Understanding of insurance regulatory reporting, operational reporting, and performance management frameworks.
Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – Preferred
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) – Preferred
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certification – Preferred
  • Data Governance or Data Management certifications – Preferred
  • Insurance industry certifications are a plus.
