Job summary

Wellmed Optum Florida is seeking a Program Manager, Transformation Office to lead and coordinate strategic initiatives within Team Florida’s transformation agenda. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in program management, project management, consulting, business operations, healthcare operations, or transformation leadership.
• Experience managing large, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders and governance processes.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute programs, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver on schedule.
• Strong executive communication skills, including status reporting, dashboards, and steering committee materials.
• Ability to use data to inform decisions, track performance trends, and recommend corrective actions.

The Program Manager, Transformation Office leads and coordinates the strategic initiatives that support Team Florida’s transformation agenda. Reporting to the Vice President, Transformation, this role serves as the day-to-day leader for assigned initiatives and works cross-functionally with executive sponsors, operational leaders, clinical leaders, and business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of organizational priorities and achievement of measurable business outcomes.

The role supports initiatives focused on value-based care performance, operational excellence, growth, digital transformation, AI enablement, provider engagement, and organizational effectiveness. Success depends on disciplined project execution, clear governance, active stakeholder management, and performance reporting that gives leaders an accurate view of progress, risk, and value delivered.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Program Leadership and Execution

• Develop and maintain detailed project and program plans for assigned strategic initiatives.
• Define milestones, deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and success metrics.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Drive accountability for action items and project commitments.
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with business objectives.

Value-Based Care Transformation

• Support initiatives focused on quality improvement, population health, risk adjustment, care management, provider engagement, utilization management, and cost-of-care reduction.
• Collaborate with operational, clinical, technology, and finance leaders to execute value-based care initiatives.
• Track key performance indicators and transformation outcomes.
• Identify implementation barriers and develop mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong working relationships with business leaders and executive sponsors.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and project reviews.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
• Drive alignment across multiple functional areas.

Governance and Reporting

• Prepare executive-level status reports and dashboards.
• Maintain project documentation and governance materials.
• Support steering committee meetings and executive reviews.
• Escalate risks and issues appropriately and in a timely manner.

Performance Management

• Monitor program outcomes and key performance indicators.
• Support value realization tracking and benefits measurement.
• Analyze performance trends and recommend corrective actions when needed.

Change Management

• Support organizational readiness and adoption planning.
• Coordinate communication and stakeholder engagement efforts.
• Assist leaders with implementation and sustainment activities.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

AI and Process Improvement

• Support initiatives that leverage automation, analytics, and AI to improve productivity and business performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce administrative burden and improve workflow efficiency.
• Assist in evaluating technology-enabled solutions that improve organizational outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, project management, consulting, business operations, healthcare operations, or transformation leadership.
• Experience managing large, cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in value-based care organizations, provider groups, MSOs, health systems, health plans, Medicare Advantage, managed care, ACOs, or population health environments.
• Experience supporting quality, risk adjustment, care management, provider operations, network performance, or healthcare transformation programs.
• Exposure to AI, digital transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile certification.
