Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive program management or engineering leadership experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in production planning, workflow optimization, and capital improvement projects.
  • Proven experience applying Lean / Six Sigma to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety regulations.
  • On-site work experience at a manufacturing facility in Fredericksburg, VA area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Manage multiple manufacturing, fabrication, and operational initiatives across the construction and building materials division from initial scope through delivery.
  • Cross‑Functional Execution: Collaborate daily with plant leadership, engineering, and supply chain teams to enforce production schedules and meet on‑time delivery targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead operational excellence initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization methodologies to eliminate waste and maximize plant yield.
  • Production Optimization: Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow mapping to resolve shop‑floor bottlenecks.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify operational, supply chain, and production risks early; implement proactive contingency plans to safeguard project timelines and budgets.
  • Capital Projects & Upgrades: Support plant expansion and capital improvement projects, including equipment installations, tooling upgrades, and process modifications.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all program activities comply with company safety protocols and OSHA regulatory standards.
  • Leadership Reporting: Deliver data‑driven updates, KPI tracking, and project status reports to senior operational executives.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive program management or engineering leadership experience within industrial manufacturing, heavy fabrication, structural steel, or building materials.
  • Operational Mastery: Hands‑on experience driving shop‑floor production planning, workflow optimization, and capital improvement projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proven track record applying Lean / Six Sigma principles to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Compliance & Safety: Solid working knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety regulations.
