  • Prepare, review, and coordinate annual Medicare Cost Report filings.
  • Provide ongoing hospital reimbursement consulting services to corporate business office.

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with Federal and State reimbursement rules and regulations for Medicare, Medicaid, and special State and County reimbursements
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate annual Medicare Cost Report filings for assigned hospitals
  • Provide ongoing hospital reimbursement consulting services to corporate business office and facility executive staff
  • Support departmental activities for hospital assessment and supplemental payment programs
  • Coordinate and complete required cost reports for Medicaid and other regulatory bodies
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-8 years of experience in cost reporting applications for behavioral health facility Medicare/Medicaid/Special State & County costs
  • Advanced knowledge of Medicare Psychiatric Prospective Payment System
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Medicaid and special State & County reimbursement systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant cost report software programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Working knowledge of health care accounting, finance, and business office concepts
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint and Med Series 4 systems
