Job summary

Google seeks a Program Manager III for Spares Planning in Data Center Equipment to lead complex, cross‑functional projects across multiple sites, coordinating requirements, schedules, risks, and deadlines.

You will partner with hardware, design and NPI teams to translate product signals into actionable spares, optimize ERP/PLM workflows, and ensure spares readiness as data centers go live. This role supports Google Cloud infrastructure powering hundreds of thousands of devices worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of program or project management experience.
• Experience in spares planning.
• Experience in supply/demand planning within a data center or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create & enforce structured governance with upstream NPI & sourcing partners to establish clear spares requirements during onboarding of new products.
• Analyze end-to-end spares pipeline, proactively identifying gaps, process friction, or signal handoff failures, and build scalable processes.
• Leverage cross-functional relationships to onboard NPI products and their spares requirements into planning, sourcing, and replenishment workflows.
• Anticipate supply chain risks, component constraints, and design cut-in accelerations, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Partner with teams to ensure the right spare parts are available at current and future data center sites.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience partnering with hardware engineering, design, and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to translate early product signals, engineering changes, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) into actionable spares requirements.
• Experience utilizing and optimizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or advanced supply chain planning systems to automate workflows and manage demand signals.
• Background in data center infrastructure, mission‑critical environments, or high‑tech manufacturing, with a solid grasp of component mortality rates, cut‑in logistics, and interim supply strategies.

• Apply systems thinking to analyze the end‑to‑end spares pipeline, proactively identifying structural gaps, process friction, or signal handoff failures, and build robust, scalable processes to resolve them on both a strategic and execution level.
• Leverage cross‑functional relationships to influence upstream stakeholders, driving the onboarding of NPI products and their unique spares requirements into standard planning, sourcing, and replenishment workflows.
• Anticipate upcoming supply chain risks, component constraints, and/or design cut‑in accelerations, and collaborate cross‑functionally to execute mitigation strategies to position inventory.
• Partner closely with other teams and ensure that the right spare parts are physically in place at both current and future data center sites.
