Responsibilities

  • Assists the State Maintenance Engineer in statewide leadership, coordination, and oversight for maintenance operational support functions.
  • Provides statewide operational support and contract program management for maintenance support services.
  • Coordinates with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering, district personnel, contractors, and subject matter experts to support procurement actions, operational readiness, and contract implementation.
  • Monitors contract performance, compliance, operational effectiveness, and statewide support capabilities.
  • Coordinates and assists with statewide maintenance operational support functions including budget tracking, fiscal monitoring, invoice coordination, expenditure review, financial reporting, and operational oversight activities.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains operational procedures, guidance documents, workflows, and standard operating procedures supporting statewide maintenance operations.
  • Assists with operational process improvement initiatives and coordination of statewide operational practices.
  • Coordinates statewide operational support activities and assists with emergency preparedness and emergency response functions in support of district and county maintenance operations.
  • Assists with deployment and coordination of operational resources, logistics support activities, and maintenance operational readiness during emergency events, weather operations, and disaster response activities.
  • Supervises assigned personnel including the Statewide Contracts Manager, Program Coordinator II, and associated operational support staff.
  • Represents the Director of Maintenance Office on committees, working groups, procurement teams, operational initiatives, and interdepartmental coordination efforts.

Job Responsibilities

Assists the State Maintenance Engineer in providing statewide leadership, coordination, and oversight for maintenance operational support functions within the Director of Maintenance Office, with primary emphasis on statewide contract administration, operational budget support, fiscal monitoring, standard operating procedure development, and emergency operational readiness. Provides statewide operational support and contract program management for maintenance support services, including development, coordination, oversight, and administration of statewide maintenance support contracts and agreements. Coordinates with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering, district personnel, contractors, and subject matter experts to support procurement actions, operational readiness, and contract implementation. Monitors contract performance, compliance, operational effectiveness, and statewide support capabilities.

Coordinates and assists with statewide maintenance operational support functions including budget tracking, fiscal monitoring, invoice coordination, expenditure review, financial reporting, and operational oversight activities associated with statewide maintenance operations and support programs. Provides oversight and direction for budget tracking and financial management activities supporting the statewide maintenance operations budget.

Develops, implements, and maintains operational procedures, guidance documents, workflows, and standard operating procedures supporting statewide maintenance operations, operational consistency, emergency preparedness, contract administration, and maintenance support functions. Assists with operational process improvement initiatives and coordination of statewide operational practices.

Coordinates statewide operational support activities and assists with emergency preparedness and emergency response functions in support of district and county maintenance operations. Assists with deployment and coordination of operational resources, logistics support activities, and maintenance operational readiness during emergency events, weather operations, and disaster response activities.

Supervises assigned personnel including the Statewide Contracts Manager, Program Coordinator II, and associated operational support staff. Provides leadership, assigns and reviews work activities, establishes priorities, evaluates performance, provides technical guidance, and supports employee development to ensure effective statewide operational support, budget oversight, and contract administration.

Represents the Director of Maintenance Office on committees, working groups, procurement teams, operational initiatives, and interdepartmental coordination efforts. Performs additional duties, special projects, and assignments as directed by the State Maintenance Engineer in support of statewide maintenance operations and organizational objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree and five and one-half (5.5) years of relevant program management experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

The physical demands for the essential functions involves sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods of time. This position may require office and field work, limited overnight travel. Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards. May be required to work outside normal business hours.
