Amazon is seeking a strategic ORBIT Program Manager to build the infrastructure that multiplies impact across North America''s Last Mile operations. You''ll own the mechanisms, standards, and automations used by six portfolios—creating leverage beyond a single program.
The role focuses on turning experiments into a repeatable pipeline, maintaining a standard work library, and delivering flash reporting that shapes daily leadership rhythm.
Job ID: 10522101 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Join the ORBIT Program Management Office as the horizontal builder who multiplies impact across all six portfolios in North America's Last Mile Operations. This is not a typical program management role—instead of owning one portfolio's outcomes, you will own the mechanisms, standards, and automations that every portfolio leader depends on. Your work directly advances our mission: a 60% reduction in manual prep time across the VP offices we support, with hundreds of hours already reclaimed.
You will convert automation delivery from one-off experiments into a repeatable intake-to-delivery pipeline, build and maintain ORBIT's standard work library, establish reporting standards, and own flash reporting that shapes the daily rhythm for Last Mile leadership. Every mechanism you standardize, every automation you ship, multiplies across Network Operations, High Volume Events, Supply Chain, and Strategic Initiatives portfolios—creating leverage most program managers never experience.
Your morning begins with the team pulse —pulling status across portfolios, checking automated feeds for gaps, resolving data questions with portfolio leaders, and publishing before the leadership day begins. Mid-morning might bring a working session with a Business Intelligence Engineer to extend an auto-flagging rule so compliance gaps surface automatically. Afternoons balance governance work with project work: auditing SOPs against current practice and rewriting the ones that have drifted, or scoping an automation by measuring how long a recurring document assembly takes, prototyping an AI-assisted version, and logging the reclaimed hours.
ORBIT PMO serves the VP offices across NA Last Mile as the program management backbone for Supply Chain and Last Mile Operations. We own and enable the rhythm of business: the recurring cadence, leadership-facing deliverables, strategic initiatives, executive events, and high volume event readiness, delivered across four portfolios—Network Operations, High Volume Events, Supply Chain, and Strategic Initiatives & Executive Events.
Our mission is operational excellence through automation: a 60% reduction in manual prep time, OP1 planning compressed from ten days to four, and 95%+ action item completion. We partner daily with Network Operations, Fleet, Safety, ACES, RME, WHS, PXT, Finance, and Last Mile Tech. We take pride in building the tools and standards that make Amazon's largest operations organization easier to run and easier to improve.
