Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of program and project management experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in power distribution equipment engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, installation, or maintenance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% annually.
  • Must be living within 50 miles of one of the listed locations (active-Duty military members exempt).
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with new product development (NPD) programs and stage-gate processes preferred.

Locations: Remote – must be near one of Eaton’s facilities in Hodges (SC), Sumter (SC), Arden (NC), Charlotte (NC), or Cleveland (TN). Travel up to 25% annually.

Annual salary range: $109,000 – $159,000 (based on experience and market).

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure effective program management tools and processes are utilized, including Eaton’s PROLaunch process and agile/scrum methodologies as applicable.
  • Lead the team through uncertainty by establishing program structure, operating cadence, objectives, and performance measurement.
  • Accountable for program scope and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Create and maintain detailed schedules using Microsoft Project, highlighting interdependencies between teams and holding team members accountable.
  • Drive proactive decision‑making, considering difficult trade‑offs between product lines and customer value propositions.
  • Employ requirements and change‑management techniques; assess and promptly communicate potential impacts of changes and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a robust communications plan, including regular presentations to senior leaders. Prepare and publish formal program metrics and reports on a monthly basis.
  • Lead teams in program risk assessment and deploy sound mitigation strategies. Monitor risk and take decisive early action to resolve issues.
  • Work with functional leaders to forecast, monitor, and report on program financials.
Qualifications
Required (Basic)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of program and project management experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in power distribution equipment engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, installation, or maintenance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% annually.
  • Must be living within 50 miles of one of the listed locations (active‑Duty military members exempt). No relocation offered.

Preferred
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Extensive network across Electrical Sector Americas Engineering and strong knowledge of Product Lines.
  • Understanding of data center customers and power solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with new product development (NPD) programs and stage‑gate processes.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Agile or Scrum certification.
