The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Program Manager I (State Contracts Manager) to supervise the Contracts Section within the Bureau of Policy in Richland County. This in-office role focuses on leadership, contract development, performance, and compliance across multiple contract areas.

This is position is located in the Bureau of Policy, Richland County. This is an in-office role and not a telecommute or remote position.

Program Manager I (State Contracts Manager) who will promote the mission and values/behaviors of SCDHHS. Supervise and oversee the development, management, performance and operations of the Contracts Section within the Bureau of Policy. Provides leadership and direction to Section staff. Serves as liaison for all contractual actions within the Section. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practices and standards of performance are translated into all Section operations. The Contracts Section includes work associated with Rural Health Initiatives, Graduate Medical Education, State Agencies, Hospitals, South Carolina Public Schools and Non-Medicaid Admin Contracts.
A bachelor's degree in public administration, public health, or related human services field and five (5) years of relevant experience in health or social services program administration, OR
A master’s degree in public administration, public health or related human services field and three (3) years of relevant experience in health or social services program administration.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with prior State Human Resources approval.
All degrees must be from a college or higher education institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education & Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
