Job summary

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration, sponsorship, and joint programming.
  • Organize internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
  • Develop communication strategies to engage stakeholders and keep them informed about programs and outcomes.

Job description

Summary

Work independently, under the direction of the Center Director or his/her designee (e.g.. Program Director, Program Manager II, Study Principal Investigator, etc.) to manage centerwide and/or study specific activities and programing. Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students and other trainees, and community members with various roles across different disciplines. Provide direction and guidance to the study team(s) to facilitate the achievement of the program's goals. The Community Engagement Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies that strengthen relationships between the organization and the communities it serves. The role oversees ooutreach initiatives, partnerships, volunteer engagement, and community-based studies and community engagement activities and partnership opportunities. Work closely with other Program Managers, Program Coordinators and Program Associates within the center.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines for program deliverables.
  • Develop and manage program budget.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate community engagement programs, events, and initiatives that promote awareness and participation.
  • Collect and analyze data from programs and projects to measure impact and inform continuous improvements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, partner organizations, local businesses, community advisory boards, and government agencies.
  • Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and forums to enhance visibility and strengthen partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration, sponsorship, and joint programing.
  • Organize internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
  • Develop communication strategies to engage stakeholders and keep them informed about programs and outcomes.
  • Facilitate feedback loops with community members to ensure programs are responsive and inclusive.
  • Ensure program data and progress are reported to program stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
  • Participate in the development of program resources through literature searches, contact with outside programs, and review of funding opportunities.
  • Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the program and the profession or area of research.
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to develop outreach materials, educational materials, reports, social media campaigns, and success stories.
  • Ensure all activities comply with organizational policies, grant requirements, and community standards.
  • Develop opportunities for Pilot funding.

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 6 years

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
