Job Summary:
This position will support the Research Integrity Office in theFaculty of Arts and Sciences with a primary focus on school-wideefforts to foster a culture of research integrity through educationand training. The Program Manager for Research Integrity will leadthe delivery of research integrity education programming which mayinclude curriculum design and development, logistics management,program analysis, and project management. In addition, they willwork in concert with the Director of Research Integrity/ResearchIntegrity Officer to implement the FAS, Harvard University, andfederal research policies on handling allegations of researchmisconduct.
The Program Manager will interface extensively with other membersof the University research community; major collaborative touchpoints will be with faculty-chaired committees, the FAS Office ofResearch Administration, the Office of Post-Doctoral Affairs, theHMS Office for Academic and Research Integrity, the AdministrativeBoard of the Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts andSciences, the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, the HarvardUniversity Information Security and Data Privacy team, and theTitle IX Office.
In collaboration with, and at the direction of, the Director ofResearch Integrity, the Program Manager role will include thefollowing responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Research Integrity, the ProgramManager will work independently, performing a wide range ofprojects and initiatives. The Program Manager will interface withthe research community regarding the Responsible Conduct ofResearch (RCR) course offerings and support the work of theResearch Integrity Officer’s case work. Projects and priorities inthe following areas will evolve as needs arise:
This is a hybrid role and on-campus work is performed in officesand lecture halls, primarily.
Transporting training materials to various campus locations
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience.
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders thatsome of the duties and responsibilities can be effectivelyperformed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and locationwill be set by the department at its discretion and based uponoperational needs. When not working at a Harvard orHarvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions mustwork in a Harvard registered state in compliance with theUniversity’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts .Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location.Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements priorto employment.
