Joyson Safety Systems in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a Program Manager Electronics / STW to lead the development and launch of steering wheel electronics programs from award through production, serving as the primary customer interface and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Sales to achieve objectives, drive risk and change management, and support APQP/PPAP activities and production launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is required.
  • 5+ years automotive program management, engineering, or product development experience.
  • Experience with automotive electronics, steering wheel systems, controls, switches, sensors, HMI, or related products preferred.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, product launches, and customer program management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Position Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for leading the development and launch of automotive steering wheel electronics programs from award through production. This role serves as the primary customer interface and is accountable for achieving program objectives related to timing, quality, cost, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The Program Manager works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure successful program execution.

  • Manage program timing, budgets, deliverables, and profitability.

Qualifications:

Required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with OEM customers.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
