Job summary

Terracon seeks an experienced Senior EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives in our Florida Division and support staff and clients nationwide. You will mentor staff, manage complex EHS projects, and build client relationships while advancing Terracon’s EHS practices.

Ideal candidates bring a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and a track record in OSHA/Hazwaste programs, with a focus on regulatory compliance and sustainable practices across multiple

Responsibilities

  • Assess EHS staff capabilities across the Division and plan growth
  • Develop EHS Growth Plans with Operational Leadership
  • Collaborate with Client Development and technical staff to implement Growth Plans
  • Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals and deliverables
  • Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness
  • Coordinate with Operations on local EHS growth opportunities
  • Develop strong client relationships and train staff on projects
  • Prepare proposals in response to RFPs and client requests
  • Support local and regional marketing strategies for EHS services
  • Promote safety rules and guidelines across projects
  • Evaluate problems and develop practical compliance solutions for environmental regs
  • Serve as primary EHS point of contact for the Florida Division

To be successful in this role you will need to be confident and possess a strong technical background with proven leadership skills. You will manage projects, prepare reports and other deliverables, and review documents prepared by others for accuracy, completeness, and quality following company standards. You will also develop client relationships; and train, mentor, and direct staff on projects. You will serve as a point of contact for EHS services in the Floridat Division and provide support on regional and national projects and pursuits

  • Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies
  • Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines
  • Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Master’s degree preferred),
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, minimum 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role,
  • Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability,
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills,
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word,
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work and possess a positive attitude,
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history, and
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher preferred.
