Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a DOT Program Manager to oversee the organization’s compliance program for Department of Transportation requirements. You will lead DOT programs, ensure driver qualifications, registrations, and permits are current, and work with operations and safety teams to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

The role requires extensive DOT knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate across geographically dispersed teams.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of fleet management and DOT compliance experience.
  • Experience managing DOT compliance programs, transportation operations, or fleet compliance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, driver qualification requirements, vehicle licensing, and Hours of Service rules preferred.

  • Ensure equipment registrations, licensing, and permits remain current and compliant.

  • Partner with operations, safety, and fleet teams to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Role Summary

The DOT Program Manager will serve as the Program Manager for overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization’s Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance program. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and company regulations while supporting safe and efficient transportation operations. This position willcollaborate with a team of other professionals to deliver consistent and innovative solutions that can scale for our growing company.All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

  • Autonomy & Decision-Making: Makes most decision and consults with supervisor as needed.
Key Role Responsibilities - Core

DOT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT FAMILY – CORE

  • Manage and maintain DOT compliance programs and processes.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience leading large complex projects across geographically dispersed teams
  • Highly organized and able to manage time and resources to accomplish priorities
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively facilitating multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to tailor communication to different individuals and audiences from senior executives to external speakers and partners to program participant
  • Ability to organize and track key information in a variety of formats
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
Education
  • In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered
Experience
  • 8+ years’ relevant experience in fleet management and DOT compliance(Required)
  • Experience managing DOT compliance programs, transportation operations, or fleet compliance. (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, driver qualification requirements, vehicle licensing, and Hours of Service rules. (Preferred)
