Job summary

Astrion seeks a Program Manager/Subject Matter Expert I in Huntsville, AL to support the UHPO's UH-60M procurement, modification, and Foreign Military Sales programs.

You will provide strategic leadership, manage Integrated Master Schedules, baselines, and performance reporting, and coordinate with DoD stakeholders and industry partners. Strong communication and multi-priority execution are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or a HS diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting defense acquisition programs, including program analysis, cost and schedule monitoring, performance reporting, and acquisition documentation.
• Knowledge of DoD directives and the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM / DoD 5105.38-M).
• Experience executing procurement, fielding, and sustainment tasks with engineering, contracting, IPTs, and foreign disclosure teams.
• Ability to develop, monitor, and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), program baselines, and risk, issue, and opportunity tracking.
• Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority requirements simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive briefings for senior DoD/USG leadership.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams and government/industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and program management support to the UHPO, overseeing multiple UH-60M procurement and modification efforts.
• Define and execute program vision, scope, objectives, and baselines to align with UHPO priorities.
• Manage complex FMS portfolios, IMS, resource forecasting, and case performance reporting.
• Monitor cost, schedule, and performance metrics to meet milestones.
• Identify and mitigate technical, cost, and schedule risks with contingency plans.
• Provide technical guidance and daily direction to multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate procurement, modification, fielding, and sustainment activities with engineers, IPTs, contracting, and foreign disclosure teams.
• Serve as a primary coordination point across ASAE including USASAC, DASA DEC, DCMA, OEMs, and foreign reps.
• Coordinate production and fielding schedules with government and industry partners.
• Monitor and report on KPIs and identify efficiency improvements.
• Track multiple FMS cases and address schedule delays or execution challenges.
• Ensure procurement actions and total package fielding comply with USG policies and SAMM.
• Prepare and deliver executive briefs, status reports, and performance updates to leadership.
• Support continuous process improvements for better execution and resource management.
