Job summary

Black Box, a global IT solutions leader, seeks a Program Manager to oversee the data center construction program—the largest in the United States. You’ll manage the full lifecycle from planning to delivery on-site, applying PMO standards and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; PMP/Six Sigma/Agile/SCRUM certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of program management experience.
• Excellent service philosophy and ability to manage national level customer experience while controlling costs.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the data center construction program from planning to delivery, ensuring alignment with the PMO standards.
• Lead on-site execution, driving safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multiple teams.

PROGRAM MANAGER - DATA CENTER CONSTRUCTION

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• PMP, Six Sigma, Agile, SCRUM or related certifications preferred
• Minimum of 5 years Program Management experience
• Excellent service philosophy and understanding the challenges in providing superior customer experience at a national level while controlling costs.
• Superior collaboration and communication skills: team building, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, risk management, product management, negotiation & decision making.
• Ability to work effectively across many internal functional groups to optimize product offerings, create a seamless internal and external customer experience and resolve issues.
• Proven ability to continuously expand and leverage knowledge of market and industry trends and translating to recommending and implementing process and efficiency improvements.
• End-to-end process thinker, with proven experience in leading change within an organization and understands how change affects employees and utilizes strategies to reduce risk to the organization.
• Strong experience handling employee issues and making sound judgment decisions in this area.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, SharePoint, MS Project, PPM tools, ERP, Salesforce.com, workforce management and cloud-based technology systems.
• Able and willing to travel up to 20%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ideally 4-years of experience as a Sr. Level manager on site.
• Tenure on sites will be considered a major plus.
• Extensive leadership with field labor, safety, & quality.
• Experience with Procore or ACC or similar.
• Must be willing to be on-site for most of the duration of the project.
