About the Role

Position Title: Program Manager, Contractor

Work Structure: Remote, Contract

The Program Manager is a Contractor who is knowledgeable and experienced in procurement and contract management. The Program Manager will assist in securing contracts and managing projects across all areas of service within the consultancy, ensuring that goals and objectives are achieved efficiently and in a timely manner. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, facilitating project team collaboration, and maintaining clear, professional communication with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Manage initial consultations and relationship building with prospective new clients.
  • Assist with overseeing projects in all areas of services offered by the consultancy: grant writing, program evaluation, process improvement, data management, marketing, and event management services.
  • Manage contractors’ assigned projects, workload, and project progress.
  • Manage communications with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • May assist with managing budgets, and overseeing pay schedules and payroll
  • May assist with client and contractor onboarding
  • May be expected to attend client meetings
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Additional related tasks may be assigned

  • One (1) or more years in managing projects or customer service
  • Familiarity with RFPs and RFP processes
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience or familiarity with collaborative work spaces such as Asana or Google Drive programs, such as Google Docs and Google Sheets.

  • Possess a professional demeanor
  • Experience and previous outcomes are more desirable than degrees. However, degrees and certifications may strengthen one’s potential for candidacy.
Compensation

This engagement is structured as an independent contract and is not classified as hourly, salaried, or employment. Compensation is tied to deliverables, which vary in scope and complexity. Therefore, fixed fees range from $150–$3,000 per deliverable or set of deliverables, according to pre-approved rates outlined in the contract [addendum].

This is a contract engagement, and the selected contractor will be required to sign a Subcontractor Agreement. As an independent contractor, this engagement does not include employee benefits. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses. The Contractor will receive financial compensation for work produced for pre-approved deliverables.

The contractor will gain desirable and professionally beneficial experience for which he or she will also receive recommendations for satisfying outcomes.
