Job summary

McBride Consulting is seeking a Journeyman Program Manager to support the Air Traffic System Branch in the Aerospace Management Systems Division at Hanscom AFB. The role focuses on program management, acquisition policy compliance, and lifecycle support in a fast-paced defense environment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in DoD programs, strong document management, and excellent coordination across civilian, military, and contractor teams to sustain mission-critical airspace

Qualifications

  • Requires Active Secret Clearance and US citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 in DoD OR 8 years in DoD.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program-level acquisition support to PM and IPT Leads for disciplined execution.
  • Advise leadership on program health, cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Coordinate and resolve issues with significant acquisition impact.
  • Develop and track acquisition plans, risk, and IMS alignment.
  • Prepare acquisition reports, briefings, and leadership updates.
  • Support risk management, scheduling, and EVM-related activities.
  • Assist with funding documents and cost/schedule reduction initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to division chiefs and PMs on best practices.
