Job description

Description

We are hiring a Program Manager to own delivery of a technical and analytic support services portfolio for Department of the Air Force acquisition organizations. This is a single-point-of-accountability role: you are responsible for every work stream on the engagement — program management, IT modernization, enterprise architecture, industrial base analysis, AI integration, and acquisition support — and you are the primary interface to the government contracting team. It suits someone who has run multi-task advisory services engagements before and is comfortable being the person the customer calls first.

What You'll Get to Do as an Program Manager:
  • Own overall delivery across all engagement work streams, from staffing and budget through technical quality of the products that reach the customer.
  • Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and staffing in response to changing task requirements.
  • Set, communicate, and enforce quality standards across a distributed technical team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to the government Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative, remaining reachable during business hours and responding to inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Author and maintain the core program artifacts: project management plans, quality control plan, phase-in and transition-out plans, and program management review material.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel approvals, including short-notice requests.
Requirements
  • 5+ years managing multi-project or multi-task technical or advisory and assistance services (A&AS) engagements.
  • Master's degree in business or engineering.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, current and in good standing.
  • Active Secret clearance (interim Secret considered with approval).
  • Ability to work from a contractor facility within 30 minutes of Arlington, VA, with regular travel to customer sites in the National Capital Region.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DAWIA Practitioner or Advanced certification in Program Management, or equivalent prior service in a DoD program office. (DAWIA certification is available only to government acquisition workforce members, so we treat it as a prior-government-service indicator rather than something we expect you to hold as a contractor.)
  • Prior work supporting Air Force or Secretary of the Air Force acquisition organizations.
  • Track record on performance-based contracts measured against defined service thresholds.
  • Experience standing up a new engagement — phase-in, onboarding at scale, and clearance processing.
