Job summary

Future-Energy is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Rest and Recharge program, owning the playbook, standardizing agreements, and driving faster, lower-cost fulfillment across multiple sites. You will manage installation partners and electrical contractors across the continental US, track KPIs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure site activation from readiness through commissioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in project or program management, including owning or coordinating a multi-site or multi-vendor program.
  • Proven experience working with utilities and contractors while managing project installations through construction.
  • Strong understanding of AC and DC power, transformers, circuit protection, single-line electrical and mechanical diagrams, and construction drawings.
  • Thorough understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, material procurement, etc.
  • Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure, EVSE, or utility and government incentive and rebate programs is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the Rest and Recharge program playbook and defines standard phases and stage gates for sites from agreement to activation.
  • Standardizes program agreements, quotes, work orders, statements of work, and contractor agreements for consistency.
  • Drives continuous improvement of the program for faster, lower-cost, repeatable fulfillment.
  • Identifies, onboards, and manages installation partners and electrical contractors across the continental US.
  • Manages contractor performance through scorecards, SLAs, quality audits, and corrective actions.
  • Forecasts installation volume and ensures contractor capacity keeps pace with pipeline.
  • Identifies and tracks incentives for EVSE installations across utility and government programs.
  • Manages incentive applications, awards and captures per-site to maintain pricing and margin.
  • Serves as primary contact for site hosts and manages relationships through delivery.
  • Coordinates internal teams across sales, finance, product and Client Success to move sites from readiness to activation.
  • Defines and tracks program KPIs, site cycle time, cost per site, activation rate, and uptime at handoff.
  • Tracks risks and issues across concurrent sites and establishes escalation paths.
  • Reports program health and performance to leadership on a regular cadence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsibility #1 - Program Ownership and Governance
    • Owns the Rest and Recharge program playbook and defines the standard phases and stage gates every site moves through, from signed agreement to live public charging, and enforces them across all sites.
    • Standardizes the program's agreements, quotes, work orders, statements of work, and contractor agreements so fulfillment is consistent and repeatable.
    • Drives continuous improvement of the program toward faster, lower-cost, and more repeatable fulfillment over time.
  • Responsibility #2 - Installation Partner and Contractor Network
    • Identifies, onboards, and manages installation partners and electrical contractors throughout the continental US.
    • Manages contractor performance through scorecards, service-level expectations, quality audits, and corrective action.
    • Forecasts installation volume and ensures contractor capacity keeps pace with the signed-site pipeline.
  • Responsibility #3 - Incentives
    • Identifies and tracks the availability of incentives for the installation of EVSE across applicable utility and government programs.
    • Manages the application, award, and capture of incentives on a per-site basis, and ensures incentive availability keeps pace with the pipeline.
  • Responsibility #4 - Site Delivery and Host Coordination
    • Serves as the primary program contact for the site host point of contact and manages that relationship through delivery.
    • Manages the installation of the EVSE on site, from site readiness through commissioning and activation.
    • Coordinates internal teams across sales, finance, product and Interface, and client success so each signed site moves cleanly through the pipeline to activation.
  • Responsibility #5 - Program Performance, Risk, and Reporting
    • Defines and tracks program KPIs, including site cycle time, cost per site, activation rate, and uptime at handoff.
    • Tracks risks and issues across all concurrent sites and manages clear escalation paths.
    • Tracks installation cost and incentive capture per site to protect the program's standard pricing and margin.
    • Reports program health and performance to leadership on a regular cadence.
Measurements of Performance
  • Meets or exceeds established site activation (go-live) goal.
  • Meets or exceeds established site cycle-time goal.
  • Meets or exceeds established cost-per-site goal.
  • Meets or exceeds established incentive-capture goal.
  • Maintains contractor network performance to established service-level standards.
  • Ensures alignment of personal and Company goals and objectives.
  • Completion of mandatory training by established deadline.
Position Requirements

Skills and Education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience using Project Management Software (i.e. MS Project, Asana, Trello), as well as CRM software (i.e. Salesforce.com, Hubspot, Zoho, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, grammar, spelling, format) with a sensitivity to understand client needs.
  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrate a high level of correlation and analytical analysis to solve issues that have not previously been encountered.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization and demonstrate a team-oriented work style.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Physical Requirements
  • The functions of this role are typically completed in a professional office environment with low to moderate noise and occasional interruptions.
  • Position requires exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed, to move objects.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear.
  • Travel to clients and partner locations, as well as other Future Energy offices, may be required. Travel is expected to be about 5% of work time under normal conditions.
