Job summary

Aveox Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to lead integrated systems development programs for military and commercial customers. You will schedule execution, manage contracts and subcontracts, and drive efficiencies across the program lifecycle.

You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, establish baselines, monitor performance, and report status while ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and related regulations. Strong communication with customers and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience with defense and aerospace customers as a principal point of contact.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Ability to manage contracts through lifecycle and coordinate with internal teams.

  • Acts as a central authority for the Company in its relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Establishes program status reporting to anticipate and take corrective action in problem areas before they occur.
  • Identifies contingency plans in potential risk areas and determines path to resolve potential problems.
  • Respond to customer RFQs by compiling cost estimates and pricing recommendations, obtaining management approvals and sending quotations to customers.
  • Reviews all contractual documents for protection of company’s contractual posture, satisfaction of specifications and requirements.

Job description

We are seeking a Program Manager who will serve as the point of contact to key military and commercial customers by scheduling the execution of integrated systems development programs. This individual will manage contracts and major subcontracts. Proactively drives efficiencies throughout the lifetime of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Ownership of the schedule and cost management on programs managed.
  • Attends program and proposal Kick-off Meetings, establishing baselines for planned cost, design configuration and schedule.
  • Establishes and tracks metrics to monitor performance and progress.
  • Works with multi-disciplinary teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Act as a central authority for the Company in its relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Establish program status reporting to anticipate and take corrective action in problem areas before they occur, with appropriate line organization.
  • Identifies contingency plans in potential risk areas and determines path to resolve potential problems. Reports potential problems to upper management.
  • Ensure pertinent written records are maintained that document all agreements / commitments related to the project.
  • Coordinates proposal responses both formal RFPs and informal inquiries.
  • Works with Engineering to analyze proposals with respect to cost/risk/quality, lead source selections and negotiation teams, and monitor subcontract costs, schedules, and technical performance.
  • Reviews all contractual documents for protection of company’s contractual posture, satisfaction of specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
  • Respond to customer Requests for Quotations (RFQs) by compiling cost estimates and pricing recommendations, obtaining management approvals and sending quotations to customers.
  • Identifies areas of contractual risk exposure and recommends mitigation plan(s) to rectify; implement and manage mitigation plan(s) through completion, tying in relevant parties as necessary.
  • Responsible for contract compliance and reporting including FAR, DFARS, CAS, SCA, DBA.
  • Provide guidance relative to the FAR/DFARS and its general application to business as well as specific application to issues, and opportunities of interest, to the sales team and other internal department personnel.
  • Manages contract through life of program and works with internal departments to ensure compliance and/or obtain contract revisions to reflect scope growth, including associated costs and schedule impacts.
  • Maintain contract templates and form agreements, manage and maintain contractual chronologies on all assigned programs.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Engineering or Business-related field
  • 3+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in Commercial Aerospace Government Contract Administration desired
  • Experience in working with the Defense and Aerospace customer community and in serving as a principal point of contact to key military and commercial customer relationships is highly desirable
  • Experience with customer communications, negotiations and proposal management
  • Must be able to focus on schedule milestones and objectives
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations
  • Fluency in MS Office Suite programs
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status as defined by ITA
