Valiant-X is seeking an experienced Program Manager in San Antonio, TX to lead and manage complex defense programs. You will ensure successful execution, deliver high-quality solutions to clients, and provide leadership across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 8+ years in program management within defense or aerospace, solid knowledge of PM principles, and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance. PMP and EVM experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex defense programs from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of program management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • PMI PMP certification (preferred).
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other program management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor program performance and progress, identifying and addressing issues or risks as they arise.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and teamwork to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communications, providing timely and accurate reporting on program status, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies, driving continuous improvement initiatives across programs.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and team members, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other program management tools and techniques.
