Job description

Program Manager is a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the strategic change agenda for Ultimus. This role oversees enterprise-level programs that enhance operational scalability, strengthen client delivery, modernize technology platforms, and ensure regulatory readiness across private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, and other alternative investment structures. As a key partner to Executive Leadership, the Program Manager provides governance, strategic oversight, and disciplined execution across complex, multi-year transformation initiatives. This role will collaborate with external partners and across the organization with management, sales, relationship management, operations, technology, and other departments.

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE
  • Define and manage the strategic program portfolio in alignment with business growth, operational efficiency, and client experience objectives.
  • Establish enterprise governance frameworks, steering committees, and executive reporting protocols to support decision-making at senior levels.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership on transformation priorities, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
ENTERPRISE PROGRAM DELIVERY
  • Lead cross-functional execution of high-impact initiatives—system migrations, operating model redesigns, automation programs, regulatory change, product expansion, and large client transitions.
  • Drive disciplined program management across all workstreams: financials, staffing, milestones, dependencies, and benefits realization.
  • Ensure programs meet or exceed target outcomes, maintaining accountability for timelines, budget, and delivery quality.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ALIGNMENT & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
  • Partner closely with Operations, Technology, Product, Risk & Compliance, Finance, and Client Relationship teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Facilitate enterprise-level alignment on scope, priorities, and change impacts.
  • Communicate complex program updates to executive audiences; synthesize issues, decisions, and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
OPERATIONAL & TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMATION
  • Lead modernization efforts across fund accounting, investor services, reporting, data management, and workflow automation.
  • Oversee technology enablement initiatives—including core platform upgrades, integration programs, data strategy, and digital client experience enhancements.
  • Sponsor continuous improvement efforts that streamline processes, eliminate operational friction, and enhance control frameworks.
CLIENT IMPACT & COMMERCIAL ENABLEMENT
  • Act as senior oversight for client-facing change programs, including onboarding of strategic clients, platform migrations, and reporting transformation.
  • Support client relationship teams in articulating program roadmap, client impacts, and value delivery.
  • Ensure high-touch communication with clients during transformational events to protect service quality and satisfaction.
TALENT LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Mentor and develop a team of program managers and project leads.
  • Promote a culture of structured execution, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring, talent assessment, and capability-building within the change management function.
  • May perform other duties as required and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE
  • Private equity funds, hedge funds, and other alternative fund product types - private fund industry
  • Deep knowledge of alternative investment structures and fund administration
  • Experience with industry-leading platforms (examples: Investran, eFront, Yardi, Allvue, InvestOne, Geneva, etc.).
  • Strong project management concepts and disciplines.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree and professional certification (PMP, CFA, CAIA) required; advanced degree (MBA, MS Finance) and/or PgMP Certification preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in asset servicing, fund administration, investment operations, consulting, or financial technology.
  • Proven background managing enterprise-level transformation programs within alternatives or private markets.
  • Equivalent education, experience, and KSA’s will be considered.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
