Mizuho is seeking a Program Manager to oversee cyber security-related projects within the Transformation and Delivery Office guidelines, coordinating with HO counterparts. This hybrid NY-based role will manage end-to-end program delivery across legal entities and ensure governance and security controls are embedded throughout the lifecycle.

Job description

Join Mizuho as a Program Manager! In this role you will be responsible for managing the assigned cyber security-related projects, following the Transformation and Delivery Office (TDO) guidelines within the determined timeline. Target program can be the local NY program or HO related programs, working as a liaison with HO counterparts.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive execution of cyber security initiatives through the full project life cycle from strategic project planning to delivery, including development of target state security processes, build and adoption of technology and security solutions
• Work across multiple functions and legal entities, including Information Security, IT Risk, and Compliance, to structure and manage end-to-end project efforts through deep understanding of requirements, technologies, cross-functional impact, and business strategy
• Ensure target end state is delivered inclusive of required governance, business process redesign, and appropriate cyber security and technology controls
• Coordinating the translation of business and cyber security needs into technology solutions and requirements
• Manage weekly status reporting, understand and maintain program’s RAID log, run daily and/or weekly working groups to support successful program delivery
• Coordinate all activities and dependencies of UAT and security validation testing to ensure successful acceptance by business and security owners, including defect management and reporting in JIRA
• Provide appropriate information share and updates with senior management, the CISO organization, and other key stakeholders
• Oversight of program and project level resources including those provided by 3rd party providers

Requirements

• Significant experience and track record of delivery of major cross functional initiatives, including cyber security and technology risk programs, at large and complex financial institutions. This includes how to structure initiatives, project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Good understanding of cyber security domains (e.g., Threat and Vulnerability management, security operations, data protection, Identity and Access Management, Security Governance), as well as finance, risk, operations, and data processes and the technologies enabling them
• Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills including experience at performing this across multiple functions
• Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
• Solid knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools
• Tolerance and understanding in multi cultures

The expected base salary ranges from $111k-$160k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
