Job description

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced and decisive Program Manager (PM) to lead the execution of a missile development and production program. In this leadership role, you will hold operational accountability for project success, ensuring that complex, multi-disciplinary engineering, testing, manufacturing, and supply chain deliverables are met on schedule, within cost constraints, and to contract specifications.

Working closely with the Program Chief Engineer, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, customers, and executive management, you will lead the strategic planning, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and daily execution across the entire program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Execution & Lifecycle Management
  • Lead overall program execution from task award through design, development, hardware integration, production, and flight testing.
  • Establish, maintain, and drive the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) aligning cross-functional engineering, procurement, and testing milestones.
  • Direct program execution strategies across major formal milestones, including System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Flight Readiness Reviews (FRRs), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).
  • Financial & Business Performance
  • Manage overall program budget, cash flow, margins, and cost baselines.
  • Monitor and report, and manage cost performance and schedule performance metrics.
  • Author and submit formal customer financial and progress status reports.
  • Customer Relationship & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary operational and contractual point of contact for Project Management Offices (PMOs) and other customers.
  • Lead formal program management reviews (PMRs) and executive briefings
  • Manage customer expectations, scope modifications, engineering change proposals (ECPs), and contract additions.
  • Risk Management & Cross-Functional Team Leadership
  • Establish and drive the Program Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB) to proactively identify, quantify, and mitigate technical, schedule, supply chain, and financial risks.
  • Partner with the Program Chief Engineer to balance technical trade-offs against schedule impacts and financial budgets.
  • Oversee subcontractor management, major suppliers, and vendor deliverables in coordination with Global Supply Chain leadership.
  • Flight Test & Range Logistics Oversight
  • Coordinate resource deployment, range access, and hardware availability for captive-carry, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), and live-fire flight test campaigns.
  • Ensure regulatory, range safety, and safety compliance across all flight operations and field deployments.
Required Qualifications & Background
  • Education: B.S. in Engineering, Business Administration, Systems Management, or a related field (Formal acquisitions training and certification strongly preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of direct experience as a Program Manager or Deputy PM managing complex hardware/software defense contracts.
  • Domain Mastery:
    • Demonstrated track record managing defense development programs
    • In-depth understanding of DoW acquisition cycles, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS), and defense contracting types (CPFF, FPIF, FFP).
    • Direct expertise utilizing advanced scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or Deltek Open Plan).
  • Security Clearance: Must hold an active US DoD Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA Level III PM Certification.
  • Prior experience managing ACAT I/II or major sub-system programs for the U.S. Department of War.
  • Proven track record leading live-fire flight test programs or remote range deployments.
  • Experience transitioning missile systems low-rate production.
