Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) seeks a senior Project Manager to lead engineering programs from planning through design and construction. You will coordinate cross-discipline teams, manage budgets, and maintain key client relationships across Fort Worth, Frisco, or Dallas offices.

Strong leadership, 8+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management, and excellent communication are required. PE/ CCM preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or coordinating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the preparation of strategic and client management plans and informational materials.
  • Develop and coordinate project/workload across teams to meet budgets and schedules.
  • Coordinate engineers, designers, and sub-consultants through project execution.
  • Establish and maintain client relations and pursue new opportunities.
  • Manage financial aspects and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Lead multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

Job description

Description
  • Direct the preparation of strategic and client management plans and informational materials.
  • Focus on the development of the business line as a business discipline.
  • Support marketing initiatives as the technical discipline leader into new markets, clients and project opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project and client pursuit plans.
  • Develop and participate in presentations on project selections and within selected professional development organizations.
  • Become active in professional societies promoting the business line.
  • Plan and manage all aspects of the program projects.
  • Independently coordinate the work of engineers, designers/draft persons and sub-consultants throughout the project’s execution.
  • Establish and maintain client relations.
  • Assist with marketing, contractual development, and design implementation.
  • Responsible for coordinating workload throughout the project, from initial plan development to completed project design and with some interface with the construction management effort, ensuring projects are within budget and on schedule.
  • Responsible for managing the financial aspects of assigned engineering projects; coordinating and adjusting the work effort within the project team to ensure project work is completed on schedule and within allocated budget.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of architecture, engineering, or construction management required.
  • 8+ years of experience
Preferred Education & Experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect, or CCM preferred.
  • Market-specific Certifications preferred.
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-design discipline team.
  • Familiarity with how projects go from beginning to completion.
  • A background in mentoring younger engineers or coordinating across disciplines
