Job summary

LAEPPLE Automotive in Detroit seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee multiple automotive projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and customer requirements. You will drive cross-functional teams in a lean manufacturing environment and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in engineering or related field, a PM certification, 5+ years in Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive PM, and proven ability to manage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, program management or related field.
• PM certification preferred.
• Minimum five years of Program Management experience within the Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency with project management tools and software.
• Minimum of two years of experience with Body-in-White applications (i.e. doors, hoods, fenders, etc.) and stamping press tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to completion within schedule and budget.
• Develop project timing plans; track progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Coordinate program meetings and report milestones to stakeholders.
• Support prototype builds, testing and validation to meet timing goals.
• Identify risks and drive engineering decisions on critical parameters.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS, OSHA/MIOSHA and safety policies.
• Communicate status and escalate when additional support is required.
• Adhere to department and corporate policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, program management or other related field required.
• Project Management certification highly preferred.
• Minimum of five years of Program Management experience within the Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency with project management tools and software
• Minimum of two years of experience with Body-in-White applications (i.e. doors, hoods, fenders, etc.) and stamping press tools.
