Summary

The Program Management Manager plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages the overall activities of a programmatic team consisting of program managers, engineers, and other support individuals. This role will directly support programmatic business and technical activities with multiple weapons, product/service or reimbursable programs for the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE). The Program Management Manager will develop, plan, and lead the execution of programs through customer relationships, transformation and integration, and growth strategies aligned with the customer needs and requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Represents the company to resolve programmatic and customer issues pertinent to program viability.
  • Provides project/program management leadership and oversight to achieve metrics, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and provides development for staff; providing recognition and discipline as appropriate; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
  • Develops and implements staffing plans, budget proposals, expense budgets, and equipment requirements consistent with anticipated workloads.
  • Serves as liaison between external customer and internal organizations to ensure effective communication and adequate support.
  • Encourages and facilitates teamwork with operations, finance, quality, and engineering.
  • Partners with management and other functional areas to formulate and implement strategies necessary to meet a broad range of company-wide objectives.
  • Supports the development and implementation of strategies for the NSE that position the KCNSC to be more responsive and flexible, focusing on future year implementation.
  • Participates as a member of technical advisory committees and represents management, as directed, in meetings or appropriate functions.
  • Collaborates with current and future customers to understand customer needs and their impact on future KCNSC planning and strategies.
  • May lead teams at other sites or be assigned to interface at customer locations.
  • Analyzes, interprets information, and articulates observations and recommendations for technical and programmatic impact.
You Must Have
  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering, scientific, or other related field
  • 7 or more years of experience in business, engineering, manufacturing, sciences, managing projects and/or programs, or related activities
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business
We Value
  • Proven track record of leading DoD/DoW programs in program management, engineering/technical leadership, or business development type roles is a plus.
  • Highly effective in building relationships and collaborating with military stakeholders across PM offices, end-user/requirements teams, financial and contracting organizations, from individual contributors to Flag/SES leadership is a plus.
  • Military background especially familiarity involving SOCOM processes, mission sets, and operational environments is a plus.

National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Requirements For MedPEDs

If you have a medical portable electronic device (MedPED) - such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids or diagnostic equipment used to measure or monitor body functions - you may be required to meet NNSA security requirements if employed by us.
