Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Program Management Leader (Service Readiness) to drive on-time delivery of Service readiness for vehicle programs. You will own planning, coordination, and governance of critical deliverables across engineering, service, and product teams.

You will establish accountability, mitigate risks, and ensure readiness milestones are met to support successful product launches and superior dealer/customer ownership experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in Project Management, Service, SIOP, Engineering, or related areas.
  • Proven ability to coordinate schedules and administer complex initiatives.
  • Ability to influence across functions and levels with concise communication.
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional groups for vehicle projects.
  • Lead cross-functional Service readiness meetings and establish ownership and alignment.
  • Develop and maintain schedules across product lines with changes.
  • Create a roadmap for integrating Service deliverables into development processes.
  • Develop standards and RASCI for vehicle program Service readiness.
  • Collaborate with master schedulers, engineers, and stakeholders for accurate data.
  • Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate content reviews for timely stakeholder feedback.
  • Group and assign part numbers for manuals and service docs.
  • Apply LEAN and drive process improvements to Service readiness.

Position Overview: The Program Management Leader (Service Readiness) drives the successful execution, continuous improvement, and on-time delivery of Service readiness requirements for Polaris vehicle programs.

In this role, you will own the planning, coordination, and governance of critical Service deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle.

Working across engineering, program management, service, and product teams, you establish accountability, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure readiness milestones are achieved.

Your work directly supports successful product launches and an exceptional dealer and customer ownership experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional groups for vehicle projects of varying size and scope.
  • Organize and lead cross-functional Service readiness meetings to establish strategies, goals, ownership, and alignment for vehicle programs.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules for all product lines, incorporating current production schedules, program changes, and resulting adjustments to Service deliverable dates.
  • Create a roadmap for integrating each Service deliverable into the Polaris Development Process.
  • Develop standards, schedules, and RASCI responsibility frameworks for vehicle program Service readiness.
  • Partner with master schedulers, engineers, managers, directors, and product-group stakeholders to maintain accurate and current project information for Service deliverables.
  • Identify schedule risks and work with leaders and teams to develop and execute appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate content reviews across functions to support engaged, thorough, and timely stakeholder feedback.
  • Group and assign part numbers for owner’s manuals, parts books, and service manuals.
  • Apply LEAN principles and implement system and process improvements that increase efficiency and strengthen Service readiness execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management, Service, SIOP, Engineering, or a combination of these areas.
  • Demonstrated business expertise in project management, schedule coordination, and administration.
  • Proven ability to organize and deliver complex initiatives involving multiple timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence effectively across functions and organizational levels.
  • Professional, concise, and visual communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, AS400, Polaris Release System, or other PTC Windchill-based data management systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5–10%.

For Minnesota, the starting pay range is $73,000 to $96,000 per year, with individual pay determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography; it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range. To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
