Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is recruiting for a Program Manager to lead complex aerospace programs onsite in the US. You will drive schedules, resource planning, and risk management, coordinating with customers and internal teams to meet milestones and budgets.

The role requires multi-program oversight, strong Excel expertise, and proficiency in VBA, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate to automate reporting and processes. A technical degree and relevant aerospace experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Coordination, Business Operations or Engineering ideally within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex programs simultaneously including coordinating directly with customers and internal cross-functional teams, project scheduling, resource planning, workload forecasting, and risk management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, and data analysis.
  • Experience developing automation solutions using VBA, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall program execution to achieve cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Maintain workload forecasts and resource plans across multiple programs to optimize capacity and staffing.
  • Coordinate closely with customers to communicate program status, manage expectations, resolve issues, and support contract execution.
  • Identify, assess, and track program risks and opportunities while developing effective mitigation plans.
  • Monitor program performance using KPIs, metrics, and executive dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to ensure successful program execution.
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and earned value reporting where applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and standardize business processes across the organization.
  • Develop and implement automated reporting and workflow solutions using: Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas and dashboards) VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) Microsoft PowerBI Microsoft SharePoint Microsoft Power Automate.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Project Management Certification such as PMP or equivalent.
  • Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures.
  • Experience within FAA, AS9100, or aerospace quality environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial performance reporting.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.

For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
