Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a qualified intern to support its Cross Domain Warfare Analysis Portfolio. You will assist policy and strategy analysis, employing research and writing to provide timely and objective information for government clients.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in STEM programs, with interest in air, land, sea, and undersea warfare, and experience with Python, R, or SQL. U.S. citizens eligible for DoD SECRET clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program with at least one semester remaining.
• Interest in air, land, sea, and undersea warfare and national security analysis.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to meet DoD SECRET clearance requirements.

SPA is seeking a qualified intern candidate to support its Cross Domain Warfare Analysis Portfolio.

Responsibilities

This internship will support policy and strategy analysis with our enduring capabilities in support of government clients. The candidate will utilize research, analysis, and other approaches to provide our clients with timely and objective information that enables informed decision-making on future force capabilities and evolving operational concepts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate program and have at least one semester remaining following the internship in a STEM field, or a field utilizing STEM experience.
• The applicant should have an interest in air, land, sea, and/or undersea warfare and analysis of national security issues.
• The applicant should have strong, demonstrated skills in research, writing, critical thinking, and analysis.
• Applicants must be US citizens and be able to meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a DoD SECRET-level security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an Operations Research, Data / Information Sciences, or Information Systems degree program.
• Experience in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to data collection, processing, and management.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, or similar tools.

Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $23.00/Hr. - USD $33.00/Hr.
