Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Program Integration Principal to support the USAF CSCS at Hanscom AFB, MA. This full-time, salaried role requires senior acquisition experience and DoD background, with a Secret clearance preferred.

Location is Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The role focuses on program management, acquisition reporting, and senior leadership briefing support, coordinating with IPTs to develop plans, assess risks, and ensure schedules and costs align with DoD policies.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS degree and extensive DoD/CSOS experience as described in DoD job descriptions.
• Experience with acquisition reporting, program management, and defense budgeting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Research cyber defense products used by DoD and government entities.
• Support and develop acquisition reports (DAES, MAR, SAR, GAO).
• Support program management reviews and IMP/IMS reviews.
• Develop briefings and schedules of program status for senior management.
• Collaborate with IPT to evaluate issues and develop corrective actions.
• Assist PM in acquiring strategies that meet technical, cost, and schedule goals.
• Assist with mission execution including planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in technical evaluations of proposals.
• Review and track prime contractor deliverables and schedules.
• Stay current on future DoD capabilities and decision processes.
• Oversee junior and mid-level personnel within the discipline.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annually*

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Program Integration Principal to directly support the USAF Cyberspace Security and Control System (CSCS), which is within the Cyber & Networks Directorate (HN) and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• BA/BS degree and 20 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 10 of which must be in the DoD or 25 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as
  described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 10 of which must be in the DoD.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Must have extensive experience interacting with PEO Staff, Air Force and/or DoD Headquarter Staff. Highly desired to have held a position on Air Force Headquarter Staff, preferably at
  SAF/AQ and/or PEO Staff.
• Must have direct experience with acquisition reporting, including but not limited to DAES, MAR, Selective Acquisition Review (SAR), and Government Accounting Office (GAO) audits.
• Desirable to have experience in more than one acquisition discipline, especially program management and financial management.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise (Program Office, Enterprise, and Staff Level Support interface)
• Individual must have demonstrated capacity to consolidate/synthesize data inputs from multiple programs, data inputs from multiple functional disciplines, and independent research into coherent products to support senior leadership decision processes and products.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

• Research the various cyber defense products that are in use by DoD and other Government entities, by commercial organizations, or are in development.
• Support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e., DAES, MAR, etc.).
• Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and IMP/IMS reviews.
• Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management. Support program management reviews, senior level
  meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.
• Work with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to ensure all significant issues are thoroughly examined and evaluated. Help develop corrective actions to address any problem areas.
• Assist the Program Manager (PM) by developing plans and recommending acquisition strategies that will allow the PMO to meet technical requirements while staying within the cost and schedule constraints.
• Assist with mission execution to include but not limited to operational planning, operational analysis, capability development, event integration, event execution, analysis and reporting.
• Participate in technical evaluations of proposals.
• Review and track prime contractor deliverables status and schedules.
• Remain current on future capabilities either in development or being considered by DoD, AF, and/or Air Combat Command decision makers (Zero trust for example).
• Assist with strategic level issues and ability to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
• Oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
