Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to join the National Security Space unit in support of the Intelligence Community. The role focuses on budgets, forecasts, EACs and EVMS activities, using Deltek/Costpoint and Prism to maintain the cost baseline and deliver accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications include a BS in a related field and 2–4 years of finance experience, with active TS/SCI clearance with poly and US citizenship. DC Metro area residence is required, in Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate contractual changes into the cost baseline and reconcile actuals; develop and review EACs
• Assist CAMs with EVMS tasks: create WBS, update forecasts in Prism, analyze VAR
• Analyze budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements
• Monitor and report performance against plans to meet cost and schedule objectives
• Prepare financial reports and other program deliverables for effective management
• Coordinate with program teams to resolve financial compliance issues and interpret contract requirements
• Interface with management and respond to requests for financial data

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Program Financial Analyst who has experience or is willing to learn and can quickly adopt/adapt to new tools. The individual will join a team of qualified, diverse individuals in supporting our Intelligence Community (IC) customer and will use Excel functions to perform analysis of budgets and forecasts needed to meet contractual requirements. The position is supporting National Security Space (NSS) Business Unit and contributes to the protection and defense of national space assets.

• Learn the Deltek/Costpoint system and work to upload actuals / ETC / performance into the tool to assist in preparation of monthly CDRLs
• Description
• Incorporate contractual changes into the cost baseline, actuals reconciliation, prepare and maintain spend plans and develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs);
• Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities that include: creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), learn earned value report time phase to update forecast in Prism, performance measurement and VAR analysis research and reporting
• Performs analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs.
• Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met.
• Prepares financial reports, statements, estimates (ETC, EAC), and other program deliverables to ensure effective management.
• Work with program teams to coordinate, negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements.
• Interfaces with management, responding to their requests for financial data.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS+ 2-4 years of finance experience. 4 years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Have active TS/SCI Clearance with poly
• Bachelor's degree Preferable in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and 2 years of experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Must be located in the DC Metro area and be able to work in Herndon, VA
• Must possess computer skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
